Tulane Admission

Transfer Students

Planning to transfer?  The transfer student application process is slightly different than the first time you applied to college. This section will help to guide you through the process.

Before you do anything else, take a look over the application.

*If you are currently enrolled in the School of Continuing Studies, please click here.

Like any other applicant, we encourage you to visit campus, meet your admission counselor, ask questions, and learn as much as you can about Tulane’s unique academic opportunities and student life. You should also take a look at some of the tips from previous transfer students to help you along the way. Also keep in mind that Tulane has financial aid and scholarship opportunities specifically for transfer students.

After being admitted, you’ll have a number of tasks to complete prior to joining us on campus. If you are interested in attending Tulane as a Guest or would like to transfer from our continuing education program, we can help you with that too.

Application Requirements
Transfer students must submit a transfer application form, (online transfer application or download transfer application PDF). In order to apply, we will need to receive the following materials:

Financial Aid
Like any other student, we encourage you to apply for financial aid. You must submit both the CSS Profile and the FAFSA to be considered, and you will receive notification of your financial aid status directly from the Office of Financial Aid. The deadline for financial aid forms is June 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester. For assistance with the financial aid process, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 504- 865-5723 or 800-335-3210. We also have merit based scholarships available. For more information, please email transfer@tulane.edu.

Housing
While we try to accomodate transfer students as much as possible, housing is not guaranteed on campus. Housing will be reserved on a "first come, first served" basis.
